Royal Patent Search
The above link in orange will take you directly to Waihona.com to do a search on your ancestor’s Royal Patent. Not all of the information is contained in that search. You can garner further info from the Mahele Indices book which I will be making available as soon as I can scan the whole book…:)
The book will show you the corresponding Court Certificate of Title or CT (de facto term is LCAw), or in most cases it will. It will show you the book and page number of both documents as well as the location and area of land.
When you have that information handy you may then order the documents from the Bureau of Conveyances (occupied). I believe it’s $1.00 per copy but I’m not sure. It’s best to contact them and give them the document information you are requesting along with an inquiry as to cost per document set.
