This might seem an unlikely source for Kanaka Genealogy information but it can be a very good source. First of all the songs are given in Olelo and translated into English for you. There’s a lot of clues contained in the songs. Also, at the end of many of the songs is a little write up about the place, the people, the writer, musician, editor. All kinds of stuff.
They have the songs broken down by islands as well.
Another thing I really like is the page about the North Western Hawaiian Islands (NWHI) of which I know hardly anything about.
